Dodge Rams have been popular for a long time, and here in the Orlando Florida area you can still see some of the old Dodge Ram Models driving around.

I became a big fan when they changed the body style back in 1994, and since then I have owned 3 Dodge Dakotas and a 2500 Dodge Ram.

My Heavy Duty Dodge Ram 2500 came in handy when I moved to Florida from Boston in 2006. I had a lifetime full of stuff I wanted to take with me, and the price of renting a moving truck was outrageous.

After doing some basic math, it was a no-brainer. I went out and bought a 17′ x 6′ cargo trailer, it had tandem wheels and the black paint matched my truck.

My father in law and I took a couple of days and strategically stuffed the trailer like a 3D jigsaw Puzzle.  Eventually we had every square inch accounted for, and I admit it was overloaded by 1,000 pounds or so.

My Ram trailered so well, I could barely tell the trailer was behind me during my 1,200 mile voyage to Florida. I had the 4 door quad cab so my wife and I took turns driving while one of us slept in the back. My wife was nervous to drive it the first time, so I pulled into a rest stop and she got behind the wheel. I told her, “Just Drive”. She did, and she did a great job.
