What Is An EGR Valve?
There are tens of thousands of different auto parts in any given vehicle, and sometimes people don’t fully understand what role each auto part has.
Many of our customers don’t know what an EGR Valve actually does. If you are experiencing rough idle, poor acceleration and/or bucking your EGR Valve probably needs to be replaced.
The EGR Valve is vital to a car’s emissions controls. It helps your car or tuck run more efficiently by recirculating a portion of the exhaust back into the combustion chamber. This results in a cooler, more complete burning of your fuel. It also decreases the leakage of noxious emissions.
EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. If your EGR Valve needs to be replaced, the cost is minimal. However, if you take your vehicle to a smaller garage they might not have the proper computer systems to find a faulty EGR Valve, resulting in a large bill from the time it took to find the problem.
Napleton Jeep Chrysler Dodge has state of the art computers to help find a faulty EGR Valve in seconds. With our technology the part can be replaced by our ASE Certified Technicians in minutes.
